Interior Design Consultant

This position serves as a consultant role within the interior design team at Zara Home. The Interior Design Consultant will be responsible for providing expert design recommendations and solutions to clients, focusing on creating functional and stylish spaces using Zara Home’s products. In addition to design responsibilities, this role involves vendor management, where the consultant will work closely with architects and interior design firms to generate business opportunities and establish relationships that drive client acquisition. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Zara Home’s product offerings, as they will be recommending these items to customers and creating tailored layouts using the brand’s products.

Responsibilities

• Act as a consultant to business customers, offering expert interior design guidance and recommending tailored solutions using Zara Home products.
• Manage vendor relationships, reaching out to architects, interior design firms, and other relevant parties who can help bring new business and design opportunities to Zara Home.
• Prepare detailed layouts for customers using Zara Home’s range of products, including textiles, accessories, lighting, and home décor, to create functional and visually appealing spaces.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs, preferences, and project scope, providing design solutions that align with both their goals and Zara Home’s aesthetic.
• Present design concepts and layouts to clients, utilizing 3D renderings, CAD models, and mood boards that showcase Zara Home products.
• Oversee the selection of appropriate Zara Home products, including lighting, home accessories, and décor items, to meet client needs and project specifications.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends in interior design, customer preferences, and product innovations within Zara Home.
• Maintain an expert-level knowledge of Zara Home products to confidently recommend suitable items for a variety of interior design needs, including residential, commercial, and retail spaces.

Desired Candidate Profile

• In-depth knowledge of Zara Home’s product range and the ability to recommend and use these items effectively in design projects.
• Proven experience in vendor management, including reaching out to and working with architects, interior design firms, and other partners to drive business growth.
• Strong background in interior design with expertise in space planning and creating functional layouts.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D rendering tools, as well as a strong ability to create mood boards and conceptual layouts.
• High level of creativity with attention to detail, ensuring that every design aligns with both client needs and Zara Home’s aesthetic standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design challenges effectively.
