Instrumentation Engineer

Perform analog/digital circuit design, embedded microcontroller design, and compact antenna design and integration.

Carry out effective maintenance of field instruments including routine inspection, testing, calibration, repair and maintenance, and commissioning. Carry out breakdown repair, maintenance, and calibration of electronic and pneumatic instruments on-site or in the workshop.

You will use SPICE/PSPICE modeling of circuits, schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit assembly/fabrication techniques. Proven technical skills required in PCB designing, excellent use of simulation software like P-Spice, Proteus, MATLAB, Altium Designer, and proficiency in programming microcontrollers and FPGA, with a focus on measurement accuracy.

Perform duties as an Instrumentation engineer, supporting developmental efforts from Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) through final design and testing.

Contribute to the development of rapid engineering solutions to emergent non-conventional threats, specializing in turning high-level requirements into engineering designs that integrate microelectronics with novel fabrication techniques.

Responsible for custom electrical circuits, RF receivers, and antenna designs, and integrate these designs into customized mechanical packages for long service life in harsh environments.

Conduct research, development, testing, and integration of custom embedded systems and special communication capabilities.

Assist in managing and monitoring each stage of a project, overseeing the project manufacturing process.

Read and interpret schematic drawings and specifications.

Recommend modifications for design improvements and simplification.

Use notes, sketches, and verbal instructions to complete project designs.

Assist in writing and maintaining operating procedures and standards.

Maintain consumables inventory and tools database and update the usage.

Estimate time, materials, and equipment required for projects; coordinate purchase of required materials.

Raise PRs and follow up on POs, delivery, and installation status.

Stay on top of industry best practices and trends, as well as changes to compliance requirements.
