INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER
Job description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform instrumentation design and engineering activities for the Engineering phase of oil and gas projects including FEED and Detailed Engineering.
- Develop instrument data sheets specifications and design documents ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as instrument index I/O lists loop diagrams hookup drawings and control system architecture.
- Design and specify field instruments control systems safety instrumented systems (SIS) and fire and gas detection systems.
- Conduct sizing calculations for control valves pressure safety valves and flow elements.
- Review vendor documents and perform technical evaluations for instrumentation equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration and alignment of instrumentation systems with overall project objectives.
- Support HAZOPs SIL assessments and design reviews to address instrumentation and control requirements.
- Provide technical support during procurement installation and commissioning phases.
- Ensure all instrumentation designs comply with ADNOC regulations project requirements and international standards (e.g. ISA IEC API).
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering Control Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 810 years of experience as an Instrumentation Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in the Engineering phase (FEED and Detailed Engineering) of largescale oil and gas projects.
- Previous work experience on ADNOC projects is mandatory.
- Proficiency in instrumentation design tools and software such as SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards procedures and approval processes.
- Familiarity with international instrumentation codes and standards (e.g. ISA IEC API).
