Job description
Main Purpose of Role: Core Engineering Role to produce the volume of engineering activities on projects and within the business as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant discipline from recognized university.
- Master's degree in relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
- Essential: 6-10 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience.
- Advantage: Previous experience in Region.
- Technical Knowledge and Skills (Discipline Specific):
- Knowledge of basic engineering processes.
- Familiarity with international codes, standards, and engineering practices.
- Must be familiar with all aspects of design from concept to detailed design.
- Technical analysis of engineering problems.
- Preparation of noncritical engineering design documents.
- Preparation of specifications, data sheets, and sizing calculations for:
- Flow elements
- Control valves
- Safety relief valves
- Technical requisitions and instrument schedules.
- Cause and Effect diagrams, logic diagrams, loop diagrams, hookup diagrams, instrument interconnection diagrams, instrument location drawings, cable routing drawings, and bills of material.
- Knowledge in the development of specifications for:
- Control and automation systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI)
- Flow metering skids
- Online analyzers
- ESD Systems
- Fire and gas detection systems
- Telecommunication and public address systems
- Access control systems
Review of vendor documents and drawings.
Knowledge of field testing procedures and field test equipment.
Knowledge of safety instrumented systems and SIL assessment studies and report preparation.
Must have the ability to prepare engineering deliverables as per company technical competency standards.
Software Knowledge (Discipline Specific): MS Office, AutoCAD, Intools, Math CAD, SPI / Open Plant.
