Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of various instrumentation systems including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices.
  2. Calibrate control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and other process instrumentation.
  3. Install and commission new instrumentation equipment and control systems as required for various projects or upgrades.
  4. Ensure proper wiring, tubing, and configuration of instruments in compliance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  5. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation systems, including DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA, and SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems).
  6. Identify faulty equipment or components and initiate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  7. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with ADNOC’s safety regulations and industry standards, such as ATEX, IEC, and NEMA.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and participate in risk assessments (HSE procedures).
  9. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, calibration results, and inspections.
  10. Report any incidents, malfunctions, or near-misses to the Instrument Supervisor.
  11. Work closely with other technical teams such as electrical, mechanical, and process teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  12. Provide support during plant shutdowns, start-ups, and emergencies.

Qualifications

  1. ITI / Diploma
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in an ADNOC or similar oil field environment.
  3. Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and working in classified environments (Ex certified instruments).
  4. Certification in instrumentation or control systems (such as ISA or other recognized certifications) is a plus.
  5. Familiarity with ADNOC standards and procedures is an advantage.

Additional Information

  1. Onshore / offshore oil and gas facilities, possibly involving hazardous conditions.
  2. Shift work may be required, including night shifts or rotations (e.g., 28 / 28 offshore).
  3. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
