JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is recruiting for an Instrument and Control Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. Duration - 6 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instrument and controls system design responsibility
- Definition of plant overall controls architecture
- Ownership of I&C schedule and planning
- Responsible for production and / or review of deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, evaluations
- Working closely with the design team to achieve successful model review outcomes
- Liaise with other disciplines, clients and vendor representatives
- Experience of working with multi - national and multi - cultural project teams is strongly preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
- Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline (I&C OR EC)
- At least 5 years' experience with instrumentation in the Oil & Gas environment
- Experience in FED, Detail design and EPC projects
- Fully coherent in all international codes and standards
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required
- Assurance of tender and supply for all I&C equipment
- Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA systems generally incorporated in major Brownfield oil / gas offshore projects
- Participation with contribution during P&IDs, HAZOP, and SIL reviews workshop
- Review and where required approval of work by others
