Job Description
Inspection & Diagnosis
Perform detailed inspections of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and trucks, to assess their condition and performance.
Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and provide technical recommendations.
Ensure all inspections align with company safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Conduct functional and operational tests to verify equipment performance before and after repairs.
Ensure all workshop repairs meet quality standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain detailed inspection reports and document findings accurately.
Verify that all replaced or repaired components are genuine and comply with OEM specifications.
Technical Support & Reporting
Provide technical guidance to mechanics and technicians regarding inspection findings.
Assist in developing maintenance schedules based on equipment condition assessments.
Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports to management with recommendations.
Support the procurement team by assessing the quality of spare parts and components.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure that all inspections adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
Work closely with the Health & Safety team to identify potential risks and mitigate hazards.
Conduct risk assessments related to heavy equipment operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of experience in heavy equipment inspection, preferably in a workshop or service center.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy machinery.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software for fault detection.
Understanding of manufacturer specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
