About the job

Position Overview

Be an active part of the Commercial team by supporting Sales administration tasks and actions through an efficient, dynamic and pivotal inside role, directly contributing to our client’s engagement and support.

Roles and Responsibility

Operational:

  1. Work closely with the Account Managers to provide quotes and service details for new clients.
  2. Follow-up existing clients for new requests, process improvements, acceptance of shared offers.
  3. Actively support the Account Managers in preparing clients’ reports, KPIs, SOP and SLA analysis.
  4. Support Customer Service team in clients’ registration and on-boarding process.
  5. Resolve day-to-day commercial issues to ensure the highest level of quality service.
  6. Build and maintain a close relationship with clients’ teams, understanding their business needs, being available and ensuring their satisfaction with Etihad Rail Freight products or services.
  7. Identify and suggest new business opportunities to the Account Managers through client relationships.
  8. Conduct regular business reviews and performance analyses for key accounts together with the account managers, providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance client partnerships.
  9. Follow-up and report opportunities progression and leads through available tools.
  10. Oversee account compliance to ensure company contracts are maximized to full potential.
  11. Support for marketing materials, actions and support.
  12. Collaborate with internal teams such as Customer Service, Terminal, Operations, and HSE teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet client expectations.
  13. Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to adjust account strategies accordingly.
  14. Stay updated with industry trends and market developments, anticipating changes in clients’ needs, and tailoring solutions to meet evolving requirements.

General:

  1. Be a dynamic contributor to Etihad Rail Freight commercial developments by actively supporting the Sales Accounts managers and our clients’ developments using our services.
  2. Take initiatives while seeking guidance; be autonomous while being team spirit oriented.
  3. Be comfortable in a fast-changing environment, reflecting the change and the impact that rail brings into the UAE and the wider region.
  4. Be ready to perform other activities as required by the company both at the company premises and remotely when requested.
  5. Remain up to date with the context of the Company and the role within it to provide insight on potential opportunities and/or challenges.
  6. Contribute to the execution and delivery of any activities as and when required to ensure the continuity of work in the absence of other colleagues.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience

Academic Qualifications:

  1. Diploma or bachelor’s preferred.
  2. Degree in transport, logistics, industry, or a related field.

Professional Qualifications:

  1. Industry Knowledge Certificate.

Experience:

  1. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  2. Good knowledge of logistics, supply chains, shipping or forwarding environment and trends.
  3. Product knowledge of the different modes of transport and their respective strengths.
  4. Good understanding of modern logistics operations and efficiencies.
  5. Conversant with SAP and IT systems.

Other Skills:

  1. Physically fit.
  2. Advanced level of written and verbal skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
  3. UAE Driving License.
  4. Analytical skills for problem solving.
  5. Compliance with authority and regulatory body requirements.
