As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our clients in the hospitality and retail industries. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage network infrastructure, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. Your ability to deliver outstanding customer service and your technical expertise will be key to helping our clients resolve IT challenges efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues in hospitality and retail environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to POS systems, booking systems, network connectivity, and other critical IT infrastructure.
Offer guidance on software and hardware installations, configurations, and updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Ensure proper documentation of all technical issues, solutions, and user interactions.
Assist with system backups, data recovery, and security measures to ensure the integrity of client IT systems.
Perform regular system health checks and updates to ensure optimal performance.
Provide on-site and remote support to clients as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience in IT support, ideally with a background in hospitality and/or retail sectors.
Strong knowledge of POS systems, booking and reservation software, and other industry-specific technologies.
Familiarity with network setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, etc.).
Proficiency with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.
Experience with IT hardware, including computers, printers, servers, and peripheral devices.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
A customer-service oriented mindset, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a multi-location, retail or hospitality environment.
Knowledge of cloud services, remote desktop solutions, and cybersecurity best practices.
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or property management systems in hospitality or retail.
Experience supporting mobile devices, tablets, and other portable technology in customer-facing roles.
