Information Technology Risk Manager

Location: United Arab Emirates

Reports To: SVP of Risk Management

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Risk Manager to join our Risk Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT risks related to our operations.

You will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure that our IT systems and processes are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of IT systems, applications, and processes related to operations, identifying vulnerabilities and potential threats.

Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, UAE Data Protection Law) in all IT-related activities.

Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain IT risk management policies and procedures.

Incident Management: Oversee the identification, investigation, and response to IT incidents, ensuring effective resolution and communication with stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, compliance, and operational teams to foster a culture of risk awareness and ensure integrated risk management practices.

Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness of IT risks and promote best practices among employees.

Monitoring and Reporting: Establish metrics to monitor IT risk management effectiveness and prepare regular reports for the SVP of Risk Management and other stakeholders.

Vendor Risk Management: Evaluate and manage risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT risk management, with a focus on the health insurance sector in the UAE or similar markets.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT security frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance requirements specific to health insurance.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it effectively.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

Big 4 consulting experience is preferred.
