Role Overview:

GS-IT is seeking a skilled IT Onsite Engineer (ICT) to deliver exceptional technical support and IT solutions to our clients in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, and providing end-to-end support for hardware, software, and networking issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

1. Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve software and network-related issues.
3. Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems.

Network Administration:

1. Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
2. Monitor network performance and ensure optimal connectivity.
3. Address and resolve LAN/WAN and VPN issues.

System Maintenance:

1. Perform regular updates and patch management for servers and workstations.
2. Conduct periodic health checks on IT systems and backup solutions.

Client Interaction:

1. Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients.
2. Provide proactive IT support and consultation to improve system efficiency.
3. Document and report issues, solutions, and recommendations to clients and management.

Project Implementation:

1. Assist in deploying IT infrastructure projects, including server installations, migrations, and upgrades.
2. Collaborate with the team to ensure timely project delivery.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, including software upgrades, system migrations, and new technology rollouts.

Security:

1. Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption to protect company data.

Backup and Recovery:

1. Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.

Documentation:

1. Maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and procedures to ensure continuity and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

1. Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or ITIL are a plus.

Experience:

1. Minimum 2+ years of experience in IT support or system/network administration.
2. Proven expertise in ICT infrastructure, including networking, servers, and cloud solutions.

Technical Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
2. Proficiency in troubleshooting and managing IT hardware and software.
3. Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other server roles.
4. Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.

Soft Skills:

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
3. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.

Other Requirements:

1. UAE Driving License
2. Flexibility to travel to client sites within Dubai.
