AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Information Manager with expertise in site supervision to oversee and manage the project information systems for a large-scale Building project in the UAE. The successful candidate will ensure that all project information is accurately captured, processed, and shared across stakeholders, with a particular focus on the site supervision aspects. This role requires deep knowledge of LOD 400 and 500 standards and must be filled by a candidate who is fluent in Arabic, as communication with local teams and stakeholders is key.
Responsibilities:
Information Management:
- Develop and manage systems to collect, store, and distribute all project information in alignment with project goals, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the accuracy and completeness of all information shared across teams, including construction, design, and client teams.
- Implement and manage tools for document control, BIM integration, and site data management to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage LOD 400 and 500 (Level of Development) BIM models to ensure the information is accurate, updated, and shared effectively across relevant project teams.
Site Supervision:
- Ensure that site-based project information is accurately captured, monitored, and reported, ensuring the smooth flow of information between the site and the project office.
- Coordinate with the site supervision team to collect data regarding ongoing works, including progress reports, construction schedules, and technical issues.
- Monitor the timely submission of site reports, inspection logs, and construction progress records.
- Contractor’s BIM experience is advantageous with an understanding of driving BIM project from design, construction to handover stage.
Coordination and Liaison:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless communication and data flow.
- Act as the central point of contact for all information management-related queries from the site supervision team.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions on information management and issue resolution with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all site information and documentation meet the required quality standards and comply with project specifications.
- Conduct regular audits of project information to ensure that the correct data is being shared and utilized by the relevant parties.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the project’s information, especially as it relates to site activities and construction drawings.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on the status of project information, including updates on LOD 400/500 models, document control, and any data-related issues on-site.
- Maintain an organized archive of site data and project documents for easy retrieval and compliance audits.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improving information management practices on the project.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Knowledge:
- BIM and LOD Standards: Thorough understanding of LOD 400/500 models and their application in construction and site supervision.
- Information Management: In-depth knowledge of document control, data management, and project collaboration tools (e.g., Procore, Aconex, ACC, Asite).
- Site Supervision: Experience with on-site construction management and supervision of Building & Infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Construction Practices: Familiarity with construction drawings, project scheduling, and engineering specifications in the context of large-scale Building projects.
Skills:
- Arabic Fluency: Proficient in Arabic (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate effectively with local teams, contractors, and clients.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions related to information management and site coordination.
- Collaboration: Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on ensuring accuracy in data management and site reports, minimizing errors.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in software tools related to information management and construction project management (e.g., MS Project, BIM tools, Aconex).
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in information management and site supervision, preferably in large-scale Building and infrastructure projects.
- Significant experience with LOD 400/500 BIM standards, including managing detailed models for large construction projects.
- Experience in the UAE or GCC region is highly desirable, with knowledge of local standards, regulations, and construction practices.
- Previous involvement in the construction and management of building projects is a strong advantage.
- Must have extensive understanding of 4D & 5D deliverables and related protocols.
- Must be fluent in Arabic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Information Management, or a related discipline.
- Certification in BIM (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) or Project Management (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English is required for communication with international teams and clients.
