Job Description

1. Develop and optimize plant layouts for efficient workflow and space utilization.
2. Create and update CAD drawings for facility layouts, workstations, and equipment placement.
3. Ensure compliance with ergonomic, safety, and operational efficiency standards.
4. Conduct capacity analysis to optimize space allocation and ensure scalability.
5. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in plant layout and production processes.
6. Design layouts to accommodate current operations and future expansions.
7. Develop lean material flow paths to minimize handling time and reduce waste.
8. Select and implement material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, AGVs, cranes).
9. Optimize warehouse and storage layouts for inventory management and retrieval efficiency.
10. Conduct Method Study & Work Measurement to improve throughput and efficiency.
11. Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Time-Motion Studies to reduce cycle times.
12. Streamline workstation layouts to enhance operator productivity.
13. Ensure layouts adhere to OSHA, ISO, and other industry safety regulations.
14. Conduct ergonomic assessments to reduce operator fatigue and improve efficiency.
15. Work with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics teams to align layout changes with operational goals.
16. Support new facility setup, relocation, or expansion projects.
17. Assist in integrating automation and digital transformation initiatives into plant layouts.
18. Conduct cost-benefit analysis of layout modifications, plant upgrades, and new equipment.
19. Recommend CapEx investments based on ROI and long-term benefits.
20. Optimize layouts to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
21. Oversee the execution of plant layout modifications and new installations.
22. Monitor performance post-implementation and make data-driven adjustments.
23. Lead Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives for sustained efficiency gains.
