Job Description
- Develop and optimize plant layouts for efficient workflow and space utilization.
- Create and update CAD drawings for facility layouts, workstations, and equipment placement.
- Ensure compliance with ergonomic, safety, and operational efficiency standards.
- Conduct capacity analysis to optimize space allocation and ensure scalability.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in plant layout and production processes.
- Design layouts to accommodate current operations and future expansions.
- Develop lean material flow paths to minimize handling time and reduce waste.
- Select and implement material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, AGVs, cranes).
- Optimize warehouse and storage layouts for inventory management and retrieval efficiency.
- Conduct Method Study & Work Measurement to improve throughput and efficiency.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Time-Motion Studies to reduce cycle times.
- Streamline workstation layouts to enhance operator productivity.
- Ensure layouts adhere to OSHA, ISO, and other industry safety regulations.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments to reduce operator fatigue and improve efficiency.
- Work with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics teams to align layout changes with operational goals.
- Support new facility setup, relocation, or expansion projects.
- Assist in integrating automation and digital transformation initiatives into plant layouts.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis of layout modifications, plant upgrades, and new equipment.
- Recommend CapEx investments based on ROI and long-term benefits.
- Optimize layouts to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
- Oversee the execution of plant layout modifications and new installations.
- Monitor performance post-implementation and make data-driven adjustments.
- Lead Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives for sustained efficiency gains.
