The ICT ELV Design Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing information and communication technology (ICT) and extra-low voltage (ELV) systems for different projects. They analyze project requirements, develop system designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ICT ELV Design Engineer also collaborates with clients, architects, and engineers throughout the design and implementation phases.
Responsibilities
Analyze project requirements and develop ICT and ELV system designs.
Select and specify appropriate hardware and equipment for the systems.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project specifications and constraints.
Ensure compliance of designs with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather information for the design process.
Coordinate and communicate with suppliers and contractors.
Assist in the preparation of proposals and estimates.
Keep up to date with advancements in ICT and ELV technologies.
Provide technical support and guidance during the installation and testing phases.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical or telecommunications engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in ICT and ELV design.
Strong knowledge of ICT and ELV systems, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in design software and AutoCAD.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and presentation abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in design documentation.
Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with different stakeholders.
Project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Professional certifications in ICT or ELV design are a plus.
