IBDP Chemistry Teacher

About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic educational team, starting January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver comprehensive IB Diploma Programme Chemistry curriculum
2. Develop and implement engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences
3. Prepare students for IB Chemistry examinations
4. Support students' internal assessments and extended essays
5. Conduct laboratory experiments and practical scientific investigations
6. Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies
7. Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students
8. Collaborate with science department and broader school community
9. Ensure high academic standards and student achievement
10. Contribute to curriculum development and educational innovation

1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
2. Post-graduate teaching qualification
3. IB teaching certification or willingness to obtain
4. Minimum 3 years of experience teaching IB Chemistry
5. Strong understanding of IB pedagogical approaches
6. Excellent scientific knowledge and practical laboratory skills
7. Proven track record of student academic success
8. Advanced English communication skills
9. CPR and laboratory safety certifications

1. Advanced subject knowledge in Chemistry
2. Experience preparing students for international examinations
3. Strong understanding of scientific research methodologies
4. Ability to teach both Higher and Standard Level Chemistry
5. Proficiency in laboratory management and scientific equipment
