Psychology/Humanities Teacher - the Position

Bloom World Academy is seeking creative and expert practitioners for the role of Psychology/Humanities Teacher.

As an IB educator, you must display a clear commitment to developing international mindedness in your classroom and support the development of this across the school. Experience in, or strong knowledge of, a student-centered inquiry-based learning approach is also required. Candidates must also have very strong interpersonal skills and a track record of building and maintaining close professional relationships, as well as display excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are looking for experienced teachers with a passion for supporting every child to achieve and develop for learning and creating a classroom environment where every child can succeed. You will be able to teach students of all abilities and demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes.

It is highly desirable that you have experience with the IB programme, albeit not essential, as training will be given. As a practitioner, you should have knowledge and experience in planning rich, engaging, and challenging learning experiences for your students, a strong knowledge of assessment and its use in the classroom, and most importantly, a passion to stretch students to achieve their potential and beyond.


Required Candidate Profile
  • Proficient/advanced-level English language skills
  • Expertise preferably in psychology and possibly one (or more) of the following domains: humanities, geography, history, or business
  • Experience teaching at IB DP level highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years of experience teaching in a reputable school
  • A track record of outstanding student results
  • Experience in teaching the International Baccalaureate is preferred but not essential (professional training is provided)
  • Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity
  • Inter-cultural awareness, well-developed communication skills, and excitement to engage with students and parents
