EarthStream Global are seeking a skilled Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician to provide expert support during a nuclear outage project starting in January. This role requires candidates with proven experience in nuclear projects and a solid understanding of I&C systems used in a highly regulated environment.
As an I&C Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting complex instrumentation and control systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment during the outage.
Key Responsibilities:
Calibration and Maintenance: Inspect, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and control systems, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
Testing and Diagnostics: Conduct functional testing of control loops, instrumentation systems, and associated components.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with I&C systems to minimize downtime and ensure outage efficiency.
Documentation: Record and maintain detailed reports of calibration results, test findings, and repair activities.
Compliance: Adhere to nuclear regulatory standards, site protocols, and quality assurance procedures at all times.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, electricians, and other technicians to support outage objectives.
Safety Focus: Ensure all activities are performed safely, following OSHA regulations and nuclear safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an I&C Technician on nuclear projects, including outage work.
Expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
Knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and standards.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and instrumentation manuals.
Relevant certifications or training in instrumentation and controls.
