Position - HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the facility. The role ensures optimal performance of climate control systems to maintain a comfortable and energy-efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split units, exhaust fans, VAVs, etc.
• Diagnose and repair faults in air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
• Install new HVAC systems or replace defective components (compressors, motors, sensors, belts, etc.).
• Monitor system performance and adjust settings via thermostats, BMS, or control panels.
• Handle refrigerant charging, leak testing, and recovery in compliance with environmental standards.
• Clean and replace filters, coils, and other system components as required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls, breakdowns, and emergency repairs.
• Maintain logs, records, and documentation of maintenance work using CMMS.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the facility.

Requirements:

• ITI/Diploma in Air Conditioning, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, preferably within facility management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and tools.
• Familiarity with refrigerants, HVAC standards, and safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and emergency call-outs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPA Certification or equivalent (for handling refrigerants).
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Multi-skilled technician (basic knowledge of electrical or plumbing is a plus).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
