Employee performs skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance and installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and steam distribution equipment and energy management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigates problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
Performs preventative maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating and cooling systems.
Monitors and inspects heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation.
Installs and maintains diverse heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Lays out wires and pipes to complete HVAC systems.
Performs general and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
Ensures that all installations are done in accordance to the set standards.
Ensures that any loose wires are connected and secured properly.
Ensures calibration of thermostats and other controls.
Performs checks on motors and belts and handles lubrication duties.
Changes filters and replaces any parts as they wear out.
Ensures that chemical compositions in equipment are adequate at all times.
Handles conduit running for HVAC equipment.
Orders any supplies or equipment needed for HVAC maintenance or installation as needed.
Ensures availability of all items needed for an HVAC project.
Responds to emergency situations in order to resolve issues on an immediate basis.
Handles maintenance of tools and equipment.
Replaces faulty or expired parts in an HVAC system.
Fabrics parts in case parts are not readily available.
Follows building policies and standards.
Ensures that fire alarm system of the building is secure.
Updates Chilled water reading.
Building Management System (BMS).
Ensures the treatment of chilled water chemical.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong background in reading and interpreting instructions and safety procedures associated with HVAC processes.
Solid knowledge of using hand and power tools.
Experienced in handling electronic and mechanical systems effectively.
Exceptional knowledge of providing technical assistance with the design and implementation of HVAC systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems.
Knowledge of blueprints.
Ability to repair systems.
Diploma/ITI in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience within the maintenance services market sector.
