HVAC Technician

Job Description:

1. Install AHUs, ductwork, and associated HVAC equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
2. Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance of AHU systems.
3. Inspect and replace filters, belts, motors, dampers, and other AHU components.
4. Diagnose issues such as airflow problems, noise, leaks, or faulty controls.
5. Repair or replace defective components such as fans, coils, actuators, and valves.
6. Measure airflow, pressure, and system efficiency.
7. Calibrate system controls to maintain desired air quality and temperature levels.
8. Install various types of chiller systems (air-cooled and water-cooled).
9. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on chillers and associated equipment to maximize system lifespan.
10. Conduct performance testing on chillers, analyzing temperature controls, water flow rates, refrigerant levels, and pressure readings.
11. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant problems in chillers. Identify root causes and resolve system inefficiencies effectively.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC systems is preferred.

Experience:

1. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working on chillers and AHUs or similar HVAC equipment.
2. Familiarity with ventilation, filtration, and air distribution systems.
