HVAC Technician

Job Description

As a HVAC Technician, you are responsible for installation, maintenance, reparation, and replacement of air conditioners, climate control systems, heating equipment, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.

What you will be doing:

• Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous operations, guest and owner satisfaction.
• Operate, maintain, repair, and make necessary adjustments to the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment such as Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, Split A/C Units, Window A/C Units, Cold rooms, Coolers, Ice machines, Extract fans, and all HVAC related equipment.
• Execute energy-saving measures to reduce energy costs in line with our sustainability policy.
• Perform preventive maintenance work, such as servicing of motors and air-conditioning and refrigerators as per the maintenance schedule and maintain service/history reports.
• Respond immediately to any emergency requests for fire alarms, water flooding, gas alarms, etc.
• Maintain buildings, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar position is desired.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Trade Certificate in R/A/C and Refrigeration engineering is preferred.
• Conversant in English is an advantage.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility in terms of shift working hours.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from their place of origin.
