Job Description

• Conduct detailed diagnostics on HVAC systems to identify performance issues, ensuring swift and effective repairs.
• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to prevent system breakdowns, including cleaning coils and checking refrigerant levels.
• Calibrate and adjust systems to optimize energy efficiency, contributing to cost savings for clients.
• Troubleshoot electrical components and controls, ensuring safe and reliable operation of HVAC systems.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and system performance, for both client reference and compliance.
• Educate clients on system operation and maintenance, fostering trust and long-term relationships.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies, participating in ongoing training and certifications.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on larger projects, ensuring seamless integration of HVAC systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls, demonstrating commitment to customer satisfaction and reliability.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, with additional vocational training in HVAC technology preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance and repair.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling is mandatory to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical schematics is essential for effective installation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations to ensure all work meets legal standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and explain technical information clearly.
• Physical stamina and agility to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred, especially in regions with diverse populations, enhancing customer interactions.
