Supervise and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC electrical and instrumentation systems at oil and gas facilities.
Lead a team of electricians, instrument technicians, and HVAC technicians to ensure proper execution of HVAC E&I work as per project specifications and standards.
Review electrical and instrumentation drawings, blueprints, and specifications for HVAC systems and provide guidance to the workforce.
Ensure the correct installation and configuration of HVAC electrical components, including wiring, controls, sensors, and automation systems.
Oversee the installation and testing of control systems (e.g., PLCs, DCS) associated with HVAC operations, ensuring their proper functionality and integration.
Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues in HVAC systems, identify defects, and recommend necessary repairs or modifications.
Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., ATEX, IEC) for electrical and instrumentation work in hazardous environments.
Plan and schedule work activities, allocate resources, and ensure that the team completes tasks within deadlines.
Perform inspections and testing to verify that HVAC E&I systems meet quality standards and project requirements.
Maintain documentation of work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and job completion records.
Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of work and effective communication across teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification in HVAC electrical and instrumentation, or a related technical field is preferred.
7-10 years of experience in HVAC electrical and instrumentation work, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Experience working in the oil and gas industry is required, including familiarity with site-specific regulations and safety protocols.
Proven experience leading teams in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in industrial or oil and gas settings.
