Design, develop, and oversee the installation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation systems in oil and gas facilities.
Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and layouts for HVAC electrical systems including wiring, controls, instrumentation, and automation.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with overall plant operations.
Ensure HVAC electrical and instrumentation systems meet industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of HVAC electrical systems and control circuits to minimize downtime.
Participate in the commissioning and testing of HVAC systems, ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation components function correctly.
Oversee the calibration, configuration, and maintenance of control systems including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., ATEX, IECEx) for hazardous environments in oil and gas projects.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, and maintenance activities, preparing reports for project managers and clients.
Collaborate with procurement teams to select appropriate electrical and instrumentation equipment and ensure timely availability of materials.
Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives in the design and operation of HVAC systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (with HVAC focus).
Professional certifications in HVAC, E&I, or relevant control systems are advantageous.
Knowledge of HVAC systems in industrial environments, particularly in oil and gas projects.
Expertise in electrical and instrumentation systems related to HVAC, including wiring, controls, and automation.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, IEC, NEC, and relevant oil and gas sector regulations.
Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and other control systems.
Strong understanding of safety standards in hazardous areas (e.g., IECEx, ATEX, or similar certifications).
Proficiency in CAD software and electrical/instrumentation design tools.
Additional Information:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation engineering with at least 3 years in the oil and gas industry.
Experience with the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems in industrial and oil and gas settings.
Familiarity with working on large-scale industrial projects, including offshore and onshore facilities.
Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
Hands-on experience with control systems (PLC/DCS).
Proficiency in interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.
