Job summary/Role description
To carry on search & selection processes for new resources, manage hiring and termination processes, keep functional responsibilities informed about their personnel issues, oversee HR budgeting, and manage job changes, promotions, salary increases, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
HR Searching process:
- Keep updated the budget systems (LCB) by discussing with relevant operational functions.
- Collect relevant and appropriate authorization to start the hiring process.
- Define with relevant functional responsibilities the appropriate requested skills for new positions, arranging the Job description.
- Cooperate with Organization Dept to define appropriate job family and job title.
- Propose an appropriate level of compensation and contractual conditions, obtaining relevant approvals.
- Search for adequate candidates using various appropriate channels (Job Posting Portal, internet search providers, headhunters, job agencies, job fairs, etc.).
- Interview candidates and provide proper judgment before arranging a proposal.
HR management
- Arrange and collect all documents necessary to establish the work relationship.
- Cooperate with Personnel Administration for payroll operation and proper tuning.
- Arrange letters and other documents when necessary during the work relationships (confirmation, promotion, change of job/seat/assignment, grievances, working time, etc.).
- Prepare materials for HR evaluation, salary management, etc.
- Handle possible disciplinary processes in accordance with the law.
HR termination process
- Manage resignations and dismissals.
- Interview resigning individuals to understand reasons and report them to the relevant responsible parties.
- When necessary, propose and arrange possible retention actions.
- Arrange proper documents for retirees, resigning, and dismissed individuals.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
- A university degree in HR discipline or related field.
- Knowledge of UAE Labour Law and practice is required.
- Sound knowledge of compensation and benefits packages.
- CIPD qualification (Preferable).
Experience
- Strong HR generalist experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resource discipline.
- Experience in an international and matrix organization is highly required.
- Strong hands-on and can-do attitude, result-driven and influencing skills.
- Strong communication skills – ability to work alongside the senior management team as well as the wider business.
Skills and Abilities
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills, self-motivated with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
