Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist to manage, optimize, and support the HRIS platforms within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR technologies, systems administration, and process improvement, with a deep understanding of HR functions and how to leverage HRIS to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

As an HRIS Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing HR systems, ensuring data integrity, supporting HRIS upgrades and enhancements, and collaborating with HR and IT teams to provide system solutions that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the HRIS platform, ensuring all HR data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with HR and IT teams to support HRIS configuration, testing, and deployment of new features and system enhancements.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive employee information adhering to strict data protection protocols.
  • Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to ensure HRIS security measures are aligned with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and key stakeholders to analyze HR data, identify trends, and deliver insights that support workforce planning, talent management, and other HR initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day support for HRIS-related inquiries from HR, employees, and managers, troubleshooting issues and resolving system-related problems.
  • Lead the implementation of new HRIS systems, modules, or integrations with other business systems (e.g., payroll, finance, performance management).
  • Support HR system upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to HR operations.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials to ensure end-users understand and can effectively use HRIS tools.
  • Ensure data security and privacy standards are upheld, conducting regular audits and reporting any discrepancies or issues.
  • Generate HR reports, dashboards, and analytics as requested by senior leadership and other departments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Act as the point of contact for HRIS vendors, managing relationships and troubleshooting vendor-related issues or system performance problems.
  • Prepare HR policies and procedures related to HR systems, ensuring they align with industry standards and compliance regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with HRIS industry trends, best practices, and system innovations to continually improve HR processes.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, ADP, etc.).
  • Experience with system integrations, data migration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes (e.g., payroll, benefits, talent management, employee lifecycle).
  • Proficiency in HRIS software configuration, reporting, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of SAP/SuccessFactors and other HR systems.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HR data security, privacy, and compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with HR metrics and KPIs, and experience in generating actionable insights from HR data.
