Role Summary:

This is a hotel property-based role where you will lead the HR, Talent Acquisition and L&D function to attract, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring compliance and driving positive employee relations for optimal guest service and business success.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Management:

  1. Manage recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  2. Develop and implement training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  3. Monitor staffing and labour standards to manage costs.
  4. Mitigate financial risks associated with employee relations issues.
  5. Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Compliance & Administration:

  1. Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and hotel or company policies and procedures.
  2. Research and investigate all workplace issues to discover facts, identify potential risks to the hotel or company, and facilitate resolution through your employee relations programmes.
  3. Collect and maintain data from exit interviews, turnover statistics, and absenteeism reports to identify trends, training needs, and supervisory issues.
  4. Manage payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
  5. Maintain accurate HR records and data.

Training & Development:

  1. Create programmes to foster teamwork and a positive work environment for all team members (example: all team meetings, team member recognition and celebration events, social committees, health fairs, etc.).
  2. Educate and train leaders and employees on various topics, including performance management processes, progressive disciplinary processes, and related programmes, to foster productivity and enhance performance.
  3. Plan, implement, coordinate and/or present training modules in line with the “The Heart of Europe” L&D requirements including harassment free workplace, diversity, new joiner orientation and other required training to meet specific departmental training needs.
  4. Track employee training records and assess training effectiveness.
  5. Collaborate with department managers to identify and address training gaps.

Strategic Partnership:

  1. Partner with department heads to achieve customer service and business objectives.
  2. Provide HR expertise and guidance to General Manager, management staff and line team members to maximise the quality and professionalism of the hotel staff.
  3. Research and investigate all workplace issues to discover facts, identify potential risks to the hotel or company, and facilitate resolution through your employee relations programmes.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of HR professionals (if applicable).
  2. Oversee budget and resource allocation for HR and L&D activities.
  3. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management in a 5* hotel, preferably in UAE.
  3. Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations.
  4. Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  5. Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop talent.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality to the extent possible in all Human Resources-related matters.
