Job description

Job Role:

We are looking for a proactive HR Business Partner to manage HR operations for both blue-collar and white-collar employees within our construction company. This role will ensure efficient HR practices, including recruitment, performance management, employee welfare, and compliance with labor laws, in collaboration with various department heads.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Support

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their HR needs and develop HR strategies accordingly.
  • Advise on workforce planning, talent management, and HR-related strategies and provide strategic HR support to management in aligning HR practices with business goals.

HR Operations & Employee Management

  • Update and maintain the HRMS system (employee data, attendance, payroll).
  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions (JDs) for all roles.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, probation confirmations, and employee grievances.
  • Provide guidance and support in the areas of recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with manpower planning.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to minimize workforce turnover.
  • Manage employee leave requests, rewards, and recognition programs.

Employee Welfare & Compliance

  • Manage staff accommodation, canteen, and meal quality.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and performance monitoring.
  • Implement and promote HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Oversee camp area management, security, and injury management.
  • Monitor staff kitchen facilities, ensuring quality and reducing wastage.

Operational Efficiency & Reporting

  • Optimize overtime and time & attendance systems.
  • Develop and manage KPIs in collaboration with department heads.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly HR reports on staff performance and welfare.

Employee Engagement & Site Support

  • Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular site visits to address workforce concerns and provide HR support.
  • Organize employee engagement and recreational activities.
  • Address employee grievances and foster a positive workplace culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of HR experience, with 5+ years in the construction industry in UAE.
  • Knowledge of UAE labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Please Note: This role requires 20 minute daily boat travel to the World Islands Dubai.
