Roles and Responsibility
Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, ensuring initiatives support business growth and performance.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing guidance on HR-related challenges and opportunities.
Forming a comprehensive understanding of the business process by regularly conducting site-visits, firsthand witnessing day-to day operations, understanding frontline staff work environment related challenges and develop strategies to enhance employee experience and processes.
Collaborate closely with HSEQ, Admin and Training teams on topics such as occupational health, working conditions, accommodation, PPE requirements etc.
Provide workforce analytics, manpower planning, and budgeting insights to inform business decisions to the respective Organization’s leadership team.
Prepare and present HR updates, metrics, and initiatives to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement aligned with company values.
Develop and implement programs to enhance work-life balance, safety, employee wellbeing programs to enhance workforce health, satisfaction, and happiness across the organization.
Support end-to-end talent management, including profiling, recruitment, onboarding, performance calibration, and succession planning in close collaboration with the Talent Management Team.
Welcome and onboard new employees, ensuring a seamless and positive integration into the organization.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leaders on HR-related matters, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness.
Address employee concerns promptly, maintaining a balanced approach to employee welfare and business needs.
Manage and document the offboarding process, including resignations, retirements, and terminations, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws.
Conduct exit interviews to gather insights, identify trends, recommend retention strategies and escalate to senior management in case immediate corrections are required.
Handle employee relations cases, addressing grievances, mediating conflicts, and conducting disciplinary investigations with fairness and confidentiality.
Prepare and manage disciplinary investigations, ensuring confidentiality, fairness, and adherence to the internal policies and procedures as well as the UAE labor laws.
Assess complaints and employee concerns to establish the need for further investigation.
Provide guidance on performance-related issues, ensuring timely implementation of approved disciplinary actions in collaboration with the Performance Management Specialist.
Coach managers on performance goal setting, feedback, and managing underperformance.
Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring fairness and alignment with organizational goals. In addition, support the Talent Management Team as well as the Leadership Team throughout the calibration process, ensuring standardization of ratings and fairness of end-of-year results.
Partner with managers to design and implement career development plans for high-potential employees, in support of the Talent Management Team.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through engagement surveys, action plans, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Ensure HR practices comply with MOHRE regulations, UAE labor laws, and company policies.
Maintain accurate organizational structures in close collaboration with the Organizational Designer and ensure that all changes to approved structures are documented and communicated in time to all stakeholders involved.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver HR solutions that support business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
Stay updated on HR best practices, trends, and statutory requirements, implementing relevant enhancements in HR processes.
Managing the “return to work” process after an extended periods of absence or being unfit to work
Participate in and lead HR projects aimed at streamlining operations and improving service delivery.
Stay updated on HR best practices, implementing relevant improvements within the organization.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Professional Qualifications:
Knowledge of UAE Labour Law
Knowledge of HR data based systems
CIPD
Experience:
Min. 6 years’ experience in general HR, preferably in the UAE
Experience with Employee Relations preferred
Experience in developing company policies
Experience in advising on a range of generalist HR and employee relations issues
Demonstrable success of working in partnership with managers to deliver innovative HR solutions that meet business needs
Proven track record of conducting investigations and disciplinary procedures in a complex environment
Other Skills:
Analytical skills for problem solving
Excellent communication, conflict solving and relationship skills
Fluent English language skills essential
Arabic language (speaking, writing, reading) is a benefit
