Job Description:

Coordinate and supervise the site inspection of safety and fire installations to ensure that all safety and loss prevention rules, regulations, and procedures are implemented and adhered to in accordance with Company policy and client codes of practices in Project areas. This includes enhancing training programs, personnel awareness of safety, loss prevention, environmental protection, and investigating and reporting all industrial accidents and malfunctions of safety equipment.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  1. 6 - 8 years of experience in HSE in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry
  2. Good interpersonal and coordination skills
  3. Good attention to detail, analytical, and decision-making ability
  4. Valid UAE Driving Licence

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities:

  1. Supervise the activities of assigned personnel and perform supervisory functions at the level established by management.
  2. Carry out safety inspections according to the approved program to detect safety and fire hazards and unsafe working practices and conditions.
  3. Investigate and report on accidents and the proper functioning of all safety equipment.
  4. Ensure implementation of regular inspection, maintenance, and cleaning programs for all compressed air breathing apparatus and resuscitation equipment.
  5. Plan and prepare for hot-work, naked flame, and radiography; signatory for work permits and check work sites.
  6. Participate in Task Risk Assessment and ensure that mitigation measures are identified in the work permits and knowledge of hazards are cascaded to those who carry out the task.
  7. Inspect fixed and mobile material handling equipment to ensure adherence to safety standards and codes of practice.
  8. Ensure implementation of Safety Rules and Procedures by Company and Contractor employees on site.
  9. Assist in implementing specific activities and Programs under the Company's Health, Safety, and Environment Management System (HSEMS).

Generic Accountabilities:

Operational Plans:

  1. Develop consistent and realistic long and short-term operational plans for the Department in line with the Division objectives and manage the implementation of the approved long and short-term plans.

Budget and Operational Plans:

  1. Develop and manage the Department annual budget in line with the Division's business objectives and operational plans.
  2. Monitor expenditure against the approved Department budget on a regular basis; investigate, highlight, and reconcile any significant variances.

Performance Management:

  1. Contribute to the development of the Division's KPIs and ensure proper cascade of the Performance objectives within the Department.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:

  1. Support the institution and implementation of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls, and applicable legislation.

Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reports:

  1. Ensure that all Department MIS and progress reports are prepared to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to Company Management.
