Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE (Safety Engineer) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, as well as maintaining compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with local and international standards
2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace
3. Provide training and awareness programs to employees on HSE practices and procedures
4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and provide recommendations for prevention
5. Maintain and update HSE records and reports
6. Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure HSE requirements are met
7. Liaise with government authorities and external agencies on HSE matters
8. Keep up-to-date with new HSE regulations and industry best practices
9. Conduct emergency drills and prepare emergency response plans
10. Promote a culture of safety and awareness among employees

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
2. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or oil and gas industry
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred
4. In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Proven experience in conducting HSE training and awareness programs
7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
8. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
9. Fluent in English, both written and spoken
10. Willingness to travel, if required
