Ensure that all employees consistently implement Company HSE policies and procedures
Plan and organize regular emergency response exercises and drills and oversee their execution to promote HSE awareness across the Company
Conduct regular site visits and assess field activities to ensure conformance with standards set out in NMDC Group’s HSE Manual and project-specific HSE requirements
Identify and report HSE Observation and LSR violation
Verify HSE requirements for each work scope
Verify implementation of FRA control measures
Verify Sub-Contractors HSE performance and implementation of NMDC HSE standards
Ensure that emergency response procedures are updated from time to time
Monitor inspection and maintenance of safety, firefighting, and emergency response equipment
Investigate the leading cause of HSE issues raised by staff members, contractors, or clients and report results to the HSE Engineer
Work closely with the HSE Engineer to facilitate toolbox talks at onsite meetings
Review weekly and monthly site HSE reports and statistics on HSE performance and present findings to senior colleagues
Review and analyze accidents/incidents and near-misses and prepare to close out reports accordingly
Identify the training needs of team members in consultation with the Section Head and coordinate with the L&D section to organize appropriate training programs to enhance skills, productivity & quality of work
Minimum Requirement:
Minimum 05 years of related work experience in similar industries
Diploma in a related field, or equivalent
Holder of NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or an equivalent internationally recognised HSE certification

1. Health, Safety, and Environmental Management
HSE Policy Implementation: Ensure that the company’s HSE policies and procedures are followed across all departments and locations. Implement strategies for improving health, safety, and environmental outcomes.
Risk Assessments: Lead and conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement controls to mitigate these risks across operations.
Safety Plans: Develop and review safety plans for projects, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and internal safety standards. These plans may include emergency response, hazard communication, and safe work practices.
Environmental Impact Assessments: Oversee environmental risk assessments, monitor environmental performance, and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations (e.g., waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation).
2. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
Legal Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant local, national, and international HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, local environmental laws) and ensure the organization complies with all health, safety, and environmental laws.
HSE Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Recommend corrective actions as necessary to ensure full compliance.
Accident and Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents. Prepare detailed reports on the findings and recommend corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on HSE performance, audits, risk assessments, and incidents to senior management. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to HSE goals.
3. Training and Awareness
Employee Training: Develop and deliver training programs for employees and contractors on health, safety, and environmental issues, including safe work practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of protective equipment.
Awareness Programs: Implement and maintain employee awareness programs to promote HSE culture across the organization. This could include safety drills, toolbox talks, and workshops.
Safety Committees: Lead or participate in safety committee meetings, ensuring that concerns related to safety, health, and the environment are raised and addressed.
4. Emergency Response and Crisis Management
Emergency Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for incidents such as fires, chemical spills, natural disasters, and other workplace emergencies. Ensure that all personnel are familiar with these plans and regularly participate in emergency drills.
