Job description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement effective safety programs and policies in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and develop corrective actions to mitigate them.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.
  4. Provide training and education on safety procedures and best practices to all employees.
  5. Monitor compliance with safety standards and report any incidents or breaches to management.
  6. Participate in incident investigations and develop recommendations for preventing recurrence.
  7. Develop Health & Safety Management System plan for newly mobilized sites.
  8. Conduct risk assessment review of sites in the region and support external party reviews.
  9. Support Country Electrical Authorization program and identify competent SPOC from sites and ensure participation.
  10. Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and updates of all HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
  11. Communicate safety communications like safety alerts and quick shares with all sites and verify the same during site observation.
  12. Plan, coordinate, and monitor HSE systems to avoid any incident/accident and ensure HSE legal compliance.
  13. Prepare annual HSE action plan for the region by considering the gaps emerging out of audits and inspections.
  14. Facilitate internal and external HSE training, awareness programs, and knowledge transfer.
  15. Conduct Client and Operations HSE meetings.
  16. Influence others to promote proactive workplace Health, Environment, and Safety management system.
  17. Plan and conduct regular audits in health safety/occupational safety and environment within the scope of services at sites in the region, reporting and following up on non-compliances.
  18. Ensure that safety standards are maintained and continually seek ways to improve safety standards.
  19. Establish relevant documentation and maintain records as per HSE needs.
  20. Implement subcontractor management process.
  21. Ensure HSE prequalification and authorization of new subcontractors.
  22. Provide written instructions of work methods outlining potential hazards and precautions, and ensure they are complied with.
  23. Ensure accident and near-miss reporting procedures are understood and complied with, and assist with accident investigations where appropriate.
  24. Ensure all employees and subcontractors are suitably trained/competent to carry out the prescribed task and that the necessary licenses/certificates of competence are in force and appropriate.
  25. Ensure the statutory notices, safety policy, insurance certificate, and names of appointed first aiders are displayed and maintained in prominent locations.
  26. Schedule work safety certification and induction for new joiners.
  27. Coordinate with Ops Team Managers for HSE campaign rollouts, evaluation, and tracking.
