PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The purpose of the job of a Junior HSE Officer is to ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld within an organization. The Junior HSE Officer plays a vital role in safeguarding the wellbeing of employees, protecting the environment, and ensuring smooth, compliant operations within the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in implementing and monitoring the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits within mechanical and fabrication workshop areas to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
Identify and report potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and practices to the HSE Manager.
Provide guidance and support to staff and workers on HSE matters, promoting a safety-first culture.
Participate in risk assessments, accident investigations, and root cause analyses.
Ensure that all employees and contractors adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Maintain HSE documentation, including incident reports, training records, and inspection checklists.
Conduct safety induction and training sessions for new employees and contractors.
Support emergency preparedness and response planning activities.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an HSE Officer, preferably in a mechanical or fabrication workshop setting.
Possession of a valid NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and standards.
Ability to identify risks and implement corrective measures effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
