Key Accountabilities:

1. Responsible for site Safety health and environment management.
2. Assist with the preparation of a construction health and safety plan.
3. Confirm necessary documentation was submitted to the relevant authorities.
4. Attend project planning meetings, regular site, technical and progress meetings, and facilitate site health and safety meetings.
5. Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures and systems, distribution of health and safety specific documents to sub-contractors.
6. Compile project specific emergency response and preparedness plans.
7. Test the effectiveness of the emergency response plans.
8. Conduct site safety inductions.
9. Oversee the reporting and investigation of project related incidents.
10. Develop technical reports in relation to health and safety issues and communicate through presentations to diverse groups of decision makers.
11. Client Service Management and internal/external client liaison.
12. Ability to build and maintain a safe environment at site.
13. Experience in infra project HSE supervision management.
14. Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
15. Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
16. Maintain the health and safety environment at the workplace.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance, preferably in Pumping Station, Construction rehabilitation work and Wastewater background.
3. NEBOSH IGC level 3 is mandatory and other HSE related Diploma certification. Abu Dhabi Public Health Center Practitioner Course.
4. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices, particularly in the UAE & Abu Dhabi.
5. UAE Driving License.
