Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team and oversee all Health Safety and Environmental aspects of our civil and building projects with a focus on substation and MEP work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety and a thorough understanding of local and international safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management in the construction industry with a focus on civil and building projects involving substations and MEP
• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO or equivalent certification
• Accident Investigation certification from a third party
• ADNOC approval as HSE Engineer will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards
• Proven ability to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures
• Experience in conducting safety training and incident investigations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE software

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures for civil and building projects with a focus on substation and MEP work
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Create and maintain project-specific safety plans and risk assessments
• Conduct safety training and orientation for all project personnel
• Investigate incidents and accidents and develop corrective and preventive measures
• Ensure all safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are in good working condition and available for use
• Monitor and report on HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE requirements
• Stay updated on relevant HSE regulations and industry best practices and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance
• Promote a positive safety culture among all project personnel
