Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive HSE Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will conduct risk assessments, develop safety protocols, provide training, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize hazards and promote a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment

  1. Conduct regular assessments to identify physical, chemical, and environmental hazards in the workplace.
  2. Perform risk evaluations through inspections, audits, and reports to determine incident likelihood and severity.
  3. Implement preventive measures to mitigate risks, ensuring a safe working environment.

Safety Compliance & Protocols

  1. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  2. Develop and implement safety guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency response plans.
  3. Oversee first-aid training, evacuation procedures, and workplace safety initiatives.

Training & Employee Awareness

  1. Design and deliver HSE training programs on workplace safety, PPE usage, and emergency response.
  2. Promote a culture of safety by ensuring employees understand and adhere to best practices.

Incident Investigation & Reporting

  1. Lead investigations into workplace accidents and near-misses to determine root causes.
  2. Analyze data, interview witnesses, and review processes to prevent recurrence.
  3. Document findings in detailed reports and implement corrective actions.

Environmental Impact Monitoring

  1. Oversee waste management, emissions control, and sustainability initiatives.
  2. Ensure compliance with environmental laws and recommend energy-efficient solutions.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to reduce the company’s environmental footprint.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  1. Stay updated on industry trends, safety technologies, and regulatory changes.
  2. Recommend and implement enhancements to existing safety policies and environmental programs.
  3. Foster a proactive safety culture through ongoing evaluation and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in HSE risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation.
  3. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental standards.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
  6. Experience in industrial, construction, or manufacturing safety management is an advantage.
