Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence to company HSE policies and procedures.
  2. Lead HSE Team at site and interface with the company.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments for electrical and instrumentation work activities.
  4. Develop and implement control measures to mitigate identified risks.
  5. Stay abreast of relevant electrical and instrumentation industry regulations and standards.
  6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
  7. Lead investigations into electrical and instrumentation-related incidents and accidents.
  8. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  9. Conduct regular toolbox talks focusing on electrical and instrumentation safety.
  10. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and skills.
  11. Develop and maintain emergency response plans for electrical and instrumentation scenarios.
  12. Conduct drills to test and improve the effectiveness of emergency response procedures.
  13. Monitor key performance indicators related to electrical and instrumentation safety.
  14. Prepare and submit regular reports on HSE performance to project management.
  15. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards.
  16. Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe work practices.
  17. Responsible for the monitoring of site conditions in line with the HSE Management system.
  18. Monitor the project HSE programme and participate in the project HSE audit and inspection.
  19. Participate in site HSE training activities, conduct incident investigation, and reporting.
  20. Monitor HSE-related issues at the projects regarding our Company’s Clients.
  21. Draw progress & development plans for HSE sections and supervise their implementation to cope with local and international standards.
  22. Direct & guide the HSE staff and follow up on their implementations to comply with the HSE manual & Policies.
  23. Monitor and observe safety programs to ensure a safe & compliant work environment.
  24. Deliver and track new employee safety orientations. Develop and deliver training programs in a manner that raises employee awareness and enables employees and supervisors to work safely.
  25. Knowledge of the ISO requirements and monitoring thereof.
  26. Revision of activity risk assessments where a gap has been identified.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s / Engineering Degree / HSE Certification or Equivalent
  • NEBOSH IGC
