We are currently seeking a highly skilled and competent Marine Surveyor to join our team in UAE. As a Marine Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and surveys of goods presented at terminals. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that inspections are performed effectively and in compliance with client requirements.

Qualifications :

Educational Background :

1. A Master Mariner Unlimited License or Marine Chief Engineer

Technical Knowledge :

1. Relevant industry experience
2. Strong attention to detail
3. Polite, professional, and ethical conduct
4. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
5. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Main Duties :

1. Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or inquiries they may have.
2. Review ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) lists and create vessel folders, ensuring that all required documentation is in order.
3. Conduct inspection and survey tasks in accordance with client requirements or provided instructions. In the absence of specific inspections, follow standard operating procedures.
4. Complete various marine surveys and inspections, including but not limited to:
1. Cargo hold cleanliness inspections for mineral and grain cargoes
2. Draft surveys to determine cargo quantity loaded/discharged
3. Liquid cargo quantity surveying
4. Cargo sampling
5. Vessel’s safety inspections
6. Port captaincy and loading supervision
5. Record all timings and occurrences during inspections and issue discrepancy notices to clients when necessary. Identifying any major discrepancies observed during the inspection process.
6. Prepare all necessary tools, instruments, and documentation required to perform inspections.
7. Prepare accurate reports of inspection findings in a timely manner, meeting client requirements.
8. Provide technical assistance to clients regarding barge and vessel loading activities.
9. Respond to job allocations promptly and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
