Job DescriptionThe HR Business Partner (HRBP) at Gulf Commercial Group (GCG) will play a crucial role in aligning Group HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and company needs. The HRBP acts as a strategic partner to senior management, providing insights and guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, talent development, and organizational change initiatives. The role does not involve recruitment but will participate in analyzing data related to hiring and conduct interviews for mid-senior level hires. The HRBP will also ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies and work closely with leaders to develop a high-performance culture.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic HR Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategy with the organizational goals, driving initiatives that contribute to long-term success.
- Use data analytics to monitor and improve HR metrics, advising on workforce planning and talent management.
- Lead the implementation of Group HR initiatives, ensuring they align with business objectives and support a high-performance culture.
- Participate in succession planning activities, helping to identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership roles.
- Provide insights on organizational design and recommend changes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to line managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management.
- Address employee concerns promptly and in line with local labor laws, fostering a positive work environment.
- Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace culture.
- Monitor employee satisfaction and recommend initiatives to improve motivation and performance.
Performance Management:
- Facilitate the performance appraisal process, ensuring alignment with company strategic objectives.
- Coach line managers on effective performance management practices and the development of performance improvement plans.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends and recommend interventions to improve employee effectiveness.
Learning & Development:
- Partner with the Learning and Development team to identify training needs and develop programs to address skills gaps.
- Support the implementation of learning initiatives, ensuring alignment with career development and succession planning.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Compliance & HR Governance:
- Ensure HR practices comply with UAE labor laws and company policies throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and recommend necessary policy changes.
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Support:
- Participate in the hiring process for mid-senior level roles by conducting interviews and assessing candidates.
- Analyze recruitment data and provide insights on the effectiveness of hiring strategies.
- Collaborate with TA specialists to ensure a diverse and qualified talent pipeline.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Desired: CIPD L5 or similar certification

- Minimum: 8+ years of experience in HR, with 4+ years as an HRBP in a corporate environment
