Job Overview
The HR Associate will provide comprehensive support to the HR department in the UAE, focusing on recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance with UAE labor laws. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who can assist with day-to-day HR operations while ensuring that all HR practices are aligned with local regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Screen and shortlist candidates for various positions across the company.
Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, and coordinate visa processing as per UAE regulations.
Facilitate onboarding processes, including employee orientation and documentation.
Employee Relations:
Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and issues.
Assist in managing employee grievances and escalating matters to senior HR staff as needed.
Organize employee engagement activities to promote a positive workplace culture.
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with UAE labor laws.
Administer employee benefits such as health insurance and other perks specific to the UAE.
Prepare and process payroll in coordination with the finance department, ensuring compliance with WPS (Wage Protection System).
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, including managing employee visas, work permits, and renewals.
Support internal audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes.
Performance Management:
Assist in managing the performance appraisal process by coordinating reviews and maintaining performance records.
Support the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in an HR role.
Knowledge of UAE labor laws and experience with visa processing and payroll administration.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS systems.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Tamil is an advantage.
Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in managing HR records and processing payroll.
Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of discretion in handling employee information.
Proactive Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate HR-related issues and address them promptly.
Regular working hours, with occasional extended hours during peak periods, especially on weekends.
