Job description

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Report for duty on time.
  2. Prepare housekeeping attendants' job assignments.
  3. Issue keys and supplies to room attendants.
  4. Take note of VIPs, DND, sleep-outs, double lock rooms, and take appropriate action.
  5. Attend daily meetings and receive special instructions.
  6. Receive check-outs before reporting them as ready for sale.
  7. Receive special requests from guests and carry them out.
  8. Attend to guest complaints.
  9. Inspect areas cleaned using checklists to ensure cleaning is adequate, supplies in the rooms are as per standard, and immediate repairs are reported.
  10. Make trouble reports for rooms or items in need of repair and follow up to ensure work is completed satisfactorily.
  11. Fill out reports and hand over found articles to the lost and found department.
  12. Supervise the cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, and stairwells.
  13. Train and assist room attendants and advise the executive housekeeper if performance is not satisfactory.
  14. Supervise special cleaning of rooms.
  15. Check and order supplies for designated floors.
  16. Assist with inventory.
  17. Ensure that all housekeeping machines and equipment are properly handled.
  18. Greet guests in a courteous and polite manner at all times.
  19. Report to the housekeeping office of guests who have pets, cooking equipment, and dangerous possessions in the room.
  20. Attend daily briefing.
  21. Report to work well-groomed.
  22. Adhere to the strict rules and regulations pertaining to key security.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy, and an extremely high standard of social skills.
  2. Promote and ensure good inter-department relations.
  3. Display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
  4. Demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times when representing the hotel, thus identifying a high level of commitment.
  5. Adhere to company and hotel rules and regulations at all times.

Occasional Responsibilities:

  1. Report any equipment failures/problems to the maintenance department.
  2. Pass any maintenance requests to the maintenance department.
  3. Participate in any training/development schemes as recommended by senior management.
  4. Assist the duty manager in any task outlined/detailed by him/her.
  5. Comply with any reasonable request made by management to the best of your ability.

Legal Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that the standards required by law and by management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.

Main Requirements:

  1. Hotel experience.
  2. Eye for detail.
  3. Knowledge of Opera, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  4. Leadership skills.
  5. Team player and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,300.00 - AED4,200.00 per month
