About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Manager to join our Rooms team in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  1. To manage daily operations, tasks and projects as assigned by Executive Housekeeper. Coordinates, liaises, and communicates with all other departments and within the housekeeping department. Coordinates, liaises, and communicates with suppliers and contractors as assigned by Executive Housekeeper.
  2. To oversee the linen room operation and to maintain inventory of linen, ensuring cleaning equipment and procedures are being followed and observed.
  3. To ensure excellence in standards of hygiene, safety, comfort, and aesthetics are provided and the administration of all housekeeping services for guest rooms, public areas, staff areas, and uniforms.
  4. To direct all housekeeping projects, programs, and training where applicable.
  5. To act as a source of contact in departmental, interdepartmental, and guest-related communication.
  6. Evaluate, train and develop Housekeeping colleagues about their training needs and development.
  7. Schedule monthly action plan coordinating with the Executive Housekeeper.
  8. Liaise with Front Office on forecasting VIP arrivals and ensure the smooth flow of communication between the departments.
  9. To conduct periodic inspections throughout the hotel to assess the cleaning standards.
  10. Preparing departmental and assisting in preparation of divisional budgets, ensuring that the departmental operational budget is adhered to the business plan.

About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2 years work experience in Housekeeping in an International 5-star hotel property experience in the same position.
  2. Minimum of 1 year's management experience in a high volume of housekeeping role.
  3. Previous Housekeeping & Laundry experience as well as guest/employee relations training.
  4. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, use and requirements of equipment.
  5. Proficiency in English is required, ideally complemented by proficiency with a second language.
  6. Competent in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
