With stunning resorts located across the globe and exciting expansion planned, Kerzner International currently has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Housekeeping Manager to join One&Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai.
With the global growth of our brands, you will be an integral part of the resort's success, and your role goes beyond developing potential relationships with our clients, where you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Housekeeping to monitor and coordinate all aspects of the hotel housekeeping operation, including guest rooms and corridors.
Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all team members ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service and all areas of the operation are running as per resort standard procedures and policies.
- Responsible for departmental roster/manning.
- Conduct Shift Briefings with Attendants, Team Leaders, and Assistant Managers with relevant information on day-to-day operations.
- Champion daily call requests, maintenance job orders, etc., to ensure there is no discrepancy or late close-out.
- Assist in documentation of projects such as Departmental Meetings and Trainings.
- Liaise closely with Front Office and Facilities regarding the Preventive Maintenance Program and Pest Control.
- Responsible for a smooth turnaround of operations and liaise with Front Office regarding late check-outs that will impact the midnight turnover.
- Assist evening Team Leader in developing Attendants' improvement of quality in room cleaning/turndown and develop excellent customer awareness skills.
- Link the HK and Front Office coordinators to ensure daily delivery of room turnover is completely linked with FO guest arrival patterns.
- Liaise with Guest Services to ensure their room type priority is also linked with the HK room turnover.
- Champion the daily measurement tools for productivity, Time and Motion, etc., ensuring there is no redundancy of duties.
- Carry out inspections of all areas.
- Coordinate and manage deep cleaning and special task schedules, ensuring all rooms and floor areas meet resort standards.
- Monitor and report to the Director of Housekeeping regarding the upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment.
- Maintain good communication with team members ensuring performance is effectively managed.
- Ensure all team members are attending to duty in proper uniform, on time, and well-groomed.
- Identify and ensure the highest possible standard of cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and corridors.
- Oversee and monitor usage of guest room supplies and amenities at a realistic cost.
- Ensure that outside contractors are always working as per contract and resort standards.
- Oversee and control that housekeeping procedures are kept updated and in accordance with health and safety policies for personnel and guests.
- Ensure all team members and team leaders are trained and introduced to their duties as per resort standards and policies.
- Ensure all guest requirements are adhered to as per resort standards.
- Monitor, analyze, and execute training needs within the department as per resort standards.
- Oversee and carry out training for team leaders and team members when required.
- Be fully trained on resort emergency procedures and first aid as per resort standards.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Have required training of resort PMS system to carry out duties efficiently and as per resort standards.
- Be flexible in working hours and scheduling as per resort requirements.
- Carry out any other job-related duties as requested by the resort.
