Roles and Responsibilities

Cleaning and Sanitation

  • Thorough knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
  • Understanding and application of safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to handle and properly use cleaning chemicals.

Attention to Detail

  • Identifying areas requiring cleaning or maintenance.
  • Ensuring no detail is overlooked when preparing rooms or spaces.

Time Management

  • Prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Handling multiple rooms or areas in a timely manner.

Physical Stamina

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Customer Service

  • Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests.
  • Addressing guest inquiries or special requests with a positive attitude.

Organization Skills

  • Keeping cleaning tools and supplies well-stocked and organized.
  • Maintaining records of completed tasks, repairs, or restocking needs.

Teamwork

  • Coordinating with other housekeeping staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as maintenance or front desk staff.

Problem-Solving

  • Handling unexpected situations, such as spills or room maintenance issues.
  • Quickly adapting to changes in schedules or priorities.

  • Understanding and following instructions from supervisors.
  • Reporting maintenance or supply issues clearly.

Confidentiality and Discretion

  • Respecting guest privacy and handling personal items with care.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in guest rooms, corridors, and public areas.
  • Ensure all guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Change bed linens and towels as needed and replenish guest supplies.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor promptly.
  • Assist guests with requests and respond to inquiries in a friendly manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving furniture as needed.
