We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and seat them according to the restaurant's floor plan.
Ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and responding promptly.
Address guest concerns and complaints ensuring satisfaction.
Conduct regular table visits to monitor guest satisfaction.
Handle reservations and cancellations following department standards.
Communicate any changes to reservations or cancellations to management.
Preassign tables and ensure special requests are addressed.
Maintain a clean and organized hostess stand and dining area.
Ensure tables are properly set and ready for service.
Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of equipment and supplies.
Assist staff as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Collaborate with restaurant staff to provide optimum service.
Promote a cooperative and productive working climate.
Be flexible and rotate within different F&B outlets as required.
Assist with cashiering procedures and balance transactions.
Participate in training and other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems
Knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
Food safety certification is a plus
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
