Hostess

Responsibilities

1. Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
2. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, balancing the flow of guests and minimizing wait times.
3. Provide guests with information about the restaurant's French menu, specials, and beverage list, demonstrating a strong knowledge of French cuisine and culture.
4. Escort guests to their tables and ensure that their dining experience begins smoothly.
5. Handle guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and courtesy, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
6. Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
7. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host station and entrance area.
8. Assist with administrative tasks such as taking reservations, managing the guest wait-list, and handling phone calls.
9. Monitor and manage the dining room's atmosphere to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all guests.
10. Uphold the restaurant's standards of service and contribute to creating a refined and elegant dining environment.

Requirements

1. Previous experience as a Hostess or in a customer service role, preferably in a fine dining or French restaurant setting.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in the UAE.
3. Knowledgeable in using reservation systems.
4. Capable of working in a smoking area.
5. Must be 5’7” in height.
6. A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on guest service and satisfaction.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
9. Passion for French cuisine and culture.
10. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
