Job Overview:

Hook-up Engineer with 6+ years of experience with a major contractor with involvement in brownfield and greenfield offshore hook up activities on high CAPEX projects.

Responsibilities Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Participation and field guidance for pre-engineering and pre-construction surveys
2. Reviews drawings for constructability and identifies any specific issues and coordinates resolution
3. Reviews & formulize discipline scope of work, schedules and specifications. Understands the requirements and deliverable requirements
4. Reviews the material requisitions in compliance with project specifications prior to order
5. Awareness on planning and milestone activities and Involvement in facility handover requirements
6. Develop and issue final Hook-up construction work packs
7. Monitors scope changes and inputs to DTCMS
8. Ensures all engineering deliverables (drawings, materials, and procedures) are available for hook up execution
9. Identify and prepare discipline Hookup MTO and co-ordinate with fabrication team
10. Prepares Hook up task sheets and reviews task sheets as appropriate
11. Efficient sequencing of HU activities & reviews Hook up schedules synchronizing with other disciplines
12. Enable resource forecast & manpower loadings
13. Manage the timely delivery of documentation, fabrication, materials, personnel and vendors aligned to Hook up schedule
14. Provides field guidance and ensures compliance with Company specification
15. Coordinate materials with load-out plans at yards & ship to offshore locations in optimum vessel sorties
16. Attends Coordination & progress review Meeting and reports Hook up progress on daily basis
17. Travel to different region facilities onshore/ offshore to assist project team and coordinate execution aligned to project schedule
18. Monitor and report implementation related changes and growth during the course of the project specifically related to HUC-B
19. Participate with HAZID discussion and asset incidents / hazards investigations and communicate findings to PMT and Senior HU Engineer

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• 6+ years' experience in related offshore engineering fields
• Hookup execution exposure with Qatar Clients preferable
• Ability to develop robust Hook-up procedures and deliver aligned to Hook-up Plan
• Ability to lead discipline detail planning sessions with all levels of the organization
• Exhibit leadership skills within own discipline & provide assistance to trainee engineers/freshers
• Interpersonal and Client liaison skills which create and sustain high-quality relationships
• Demonstrate willingness to handle a variety of tasks to support business needs
• Familiarity with Offshore Codes & Standards
• Follows company safety plans and procedures
