Job Title:
Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver (TMA)

JOB PURPOSE:
The Truck Mounted Attenuator Driver (TMA Driver) will complete assigned traffic control tasks by driving a TMA to specified locations for lane closures on Abu Dhabi highways and other roadways. The TMA Driver must be constantly aware of both the construction and traffic activity taking place around them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follow all safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety PPE.
2. Drive Management of Traffic (MOT) vehicle to and from project and on work site.
3. Place arrow board or variable message board in work area.
4. Check work zone throughout shift to ensure items are still in their proper location.
5. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
6. Ability to lift 20-25kg occasionally.
7. Wear proper work attire.
8. Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and not put others at risk.
9. Cooperate with company efforts to improve health and safety at work.
10. Comply with any reasonable instruction given in the interest of health and safety.
11. Not interfere with or misuse anything provided for health, safety, or welfare.
12. Report any accidents, injuries, or illnesses you may suffer as a result of your work, or any that involve a fellow employee or member of the public.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Good communication skills.
2. Overnight travel is required.
3. A valid Driver’s License is required to operate company trucks.
4. Ability to complete paperwork and knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations & traffic control.
5. Good knowledge of UAE and local roadways and experience operating large vehicles of varying sizes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
