• Safely operate and maneuver heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring adherence to all traffic regulations and safety protocols at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any mechanical issues, ensuring the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently, using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage to both the vehicle and the freight.
• Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and freight documentation to comply with industry regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical challenges.
• Adhere to environmental regulations and practices, ensuring proper waste disposal and minimizing emissions during operation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of route planning and navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with the service provided.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay updated on industry best practices and enhance driving skills.
• Respond promptly to road emergencies, accidents, or breakdowns, implementing safety measures and reporting incidents as required.
